1. Install XAMPP and Visual Studio Code.

1. Extract the project ZIP file.

1. Copy the NGO-Management-System folder into the XAMPP htdocs directory:

C:\xampp\htdocs\NGO-Management-System

1. Start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP Control Panel.

1. Open phpMyAdmin:

http://localhost/phpmyadmin/

1. Create a database named:

ngo

1. Import the SQL file:

sql/ngo.sql

1. Open the project folder in Visual Studio Code.

1. Open the database configuration file:

pdo.php

1. Verify the database connection settings. The example provided by the project is:

mysql:host=127.0.0.1;port=3306;dbname=ngo

Username: root

Password: Empty by default in the example

1. Update the database credentials if your local MySQL configuration differs.

1. Open the project in your browser:

http://localhost/NGO-Management-System/

1. Register accounts for Donor and Volunteer roles, then test their respective features.
